Join twins, triplets, and families from across the nation as we celebrate unity, culture, and the remarkable legacy of Mary Slessor — the woman who gave hope and life to twins in Nigeria. This year’s convention in the heart of Uyo honors her compassion and courage with four days of joy, reflection, and togetherness.
The Twins National Convention is Nigeria’s biggest and most colorful gathering of twins, triplets, and families of multiple births — a joyful celebration of unity, identity, and shared heritage.
In the past 16 years, Twins across the globe have annually gathered in Uyo, the Heritage Home of our Mother, Mary Michell Slessor to honor her selfless service to humanity and this year, twins from across Nigeria and the African diaspora will converge to connect, learn, and celebrate the beautiful gift of twinship through music, culture, education, and community service.
This year’s convention, holding in the vibrant city of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, pays tribute to Mary Slessor, the Scottish missionary whose compassion and courage ended the killing of twins in Nigeria over a century ago.
The 2025 theme — “Give Mary Slessor a Day” — is a call to honor her legacy with action, gratitude, and celebration.
